  • Abandoned Cars. Fenland District Council is responsible for removal of abandoned vehicles. To report an abandoned vehicle, phone 01354 654321. The vehicle will be assessed by a Council Officer, and if considered abandoned, will be removed as soon as is reasonably practical.
  • Ambulances. Dial 999 for an ambulance only if the answer is Yes to at least one of these questions: Does the condition look life threatening? Will the condition get worse if the person is moved? Does the person need the specialist skills of paramedics?
  • Anti Social Behaviour. Anti social behaviour should be reported to Cambridgeshire Constabulary, using their non-emergency telephone number: 0845 456 456 4. Dial 999 only if lives are at risk or serious crime is happening and the criminal is still at the scene or nearby.
  • Bus Passes. Fenland District Council deals with free bus passes, which are available to those over 60 and those with disabilities. Details on how to obtain a bus pass are here. Or phone 01354 654321.
  • Crime. Minor crimes should be reported to Cambridgeshire Constabulary, using their non-emergency telephone number: 0845 456 456 4. Dial 999 only if lives are at risk or serious crime is happening and the criminal is still at the scene or nearby.
  • Dog Fouling. If a pavement or verge is badly fouled the District Council Dog Wardens can arrange for a member of the team to visit and clear up the mess. You can report the problem to the Dog Warden unit on 01354 654321.
  • Flooding. The Environment Agency provides advice at its website on flood warnings and dealing with flooding. Flood warnings are available on the Floodline 0845 988 1188.
  • Furniture Disposal. Fenland District Council offers a "bulky collection service" for items of household furniture, and white goods such as washing machines and cookers. For this service, for which there is a charge, phone 01354 654321.
  • Graffiti. Fenland District Council offers a free service for removing graffiti from public and private property. Graffiti can be reported by contacting 01354 654321.
  • Household Waste Bins. Household waste bins and boxes, including extra bins for large households, can be ordered by telephone from Fenland District Council on 01354 654321.
  • Illegal Parking. Illegal parking should be reported to Cambridgeshire Constabulary, using their non-emergency telephone number: 0845 456 456 4.
  • Litter. Fenland District Council is responsible for removal of street litter. Litter can be reported to the Environment Team on 01354 654321.
  • Noise Nuisance. Fenland District Council is responsible for dealing with noise complaints. If you are troubled by noise during the day you can contact the Environment Team on 01354 654321.
  • Overflowing Drains. Cambridgeshire County Council is responsible for road drainage. Flooding or standing water on the highway can be reported on 0845 045 5212.
  • Overflowing Recycling Bins. Fenland District Council is responsible for household waste recylcling points. To report overflowing recycling bins, phone 01354 654321.
  • Pest and Vermin Control. The Fenland District Council pest control treatment service, for which there is a charge, is provided by Pest Express Ltd. Pest Express Ltd offers treatments for rats, mice, ants, fleas, bedbugs and wasps. Treatments will be carried out within 2 working days of receipt. Contact 0800 542 6727.
  • Roads and Pavements. Cambridgeshire County Council is responsible for the maintenance of roads and footpaths, including repair of potholes, provision of dropped kerbs, weed control, clearing mud and spillages on roads, and signs and bollards. Defects can be reported on 0845 045 5212.
  • Smells and Odour. Fenland District Council is responsible for dealing with complaints about smells and odour. These can give rise to statutory nuisance. Smells and odours, for example from sewage works or muck spreading, can be reported to the Nuisance Investigation Team on 01354 654321.
  • Speed Limits. Cambridgeshire County Council is responsible for setting speed limits. Proposals for changes in speed limits should be submitted to the Traffic Management department on 0845 045 5212.
  • Street Lights. Cambridgeshire County Council is responsible for street lights. It provides a form on its website for reporting faulty street lights. Alternatively they may be reported on Freephone 0800 253529.
  • Tree Felling. Fenland District Council is responsible for the protection of trees. Its website provides advice on works to trees, hazardous trees, and protected trees. Contact the conservation department on 01354 654321.
