Planning applications
The Planning Portal is the UK Government's online planning and building regulations resource for England and Wales. You can use this site to learn about planning and building regulations, apply for planning permission, find out about development near you, appeal against a decision and research government policy.
Planning applications are dealt with by the Development Control departments of District Councils. The exceptions are planning applications for schools and for minerals and waste operations, which are dealt with by the County Council.
Many local authorities, including all five District Councils in Cambridgeshire, allow planning applications to be made online via the Planning Portal. The sections of the Planning Portal for each of the Cambridgeshire District Councils are here:
