Town Councils
From Camlink
Town Councils have exactly the same powers as Parish Councils, and the eligibility and procedure for election as a Town Councillor is the same as that for a Parish Councillor. The only difference is that certain Parish Councils have decided to adopt the name Town Council as being more appropriate. Because they are larger, Town Councils are usually undertake a wider range of activities than Parish Councils. It is usual for a Town Council to have a Mayor. The Town Councils in Cambridgeshire are:
East Cambridgeshire
Fenland
Huntingdonshire
South Cambridgeshire
There are no Town Councils in South Cambridgeshire.
