Warren Hay Road Safety Action Group
From Camlink
Following the tragic death of 16-year-old Warren Hay, more than 12,000 people have signed a petition demanding a safe way of crossing the A141 in Huntingdon.
Warren, who lived in Robin Terrace, Alconbury, with his twin sister Rebecca, mother Maxine and father John, had been walking with friends to watch Huntingdon Rowdies FC play at Jubliee Park when he was hit by a car as he tried to cross the A141 Kings Ripton Road. The football fanatic youngster remained unconscious for five days in Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, and died on Sunday May 13.
The Warren Hay Road Safety Action Group has been set up to highlight safety concerns on the A141 and urge people to sign the on-line petition on this website to push for safety measures on the stretch of road where Warren was killed.
